Peg solitaire

Peg Solitaire as “a one-person game that is over 300 years old” and set on an unusual, cross-shaped board. The renowned mathematician George I. Bell expressed his frustration with the “fragmented” history of the game (Bell, 2007, p. 16). The historical origin of Peg Solitaire is quite vague, with only two paintings that carry visual reference to the puzzle: the 1687 “Princess Soubise” by Claude-Auguste Berey and Dame de Qualite Joiiant au Solitaire “The Lady of Quality Playing Solitaire.”

Game include the two most popular variants and few traditional tasks.

Rules:

• Every jump must be a jump of a ball over a neighboring ball
• There must be a space for the jumping ball to land in
• Jumps can be made either only the vertical or the horizontal lines
• A ball that is jumped is removed
• The perfect solution is the last remain ball to be in center of the board
